Ankara: An engine of a Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet aircraft caught fire soon after it landed on the runway of Antalya airport in Türkiye. A desperate video of which is being seen. Fortunately, all 89 passengers and two pilots and 4 assistants and six crew members managed to land and were all safe.
Actually, there was more work on the plane and one of its engines caught fire. After this the plane was engulfed in flames.
Seeing this accident, the ground staff present at the airport and control tower were also surprised. But the passengers and crew members heaved a sigh of relief as they escaped safely.
This flight of Azimuth Airlines was coming from Sochi, Russia to Antalya, Turkey.
Antalya Governor’s Office deputy Suyan Cechitogbu said the plane was saved with the help of a fire extinguisher as soon as the fire broke out. Happily, all passengers and crew members survived by the mercy of Allah, Türkiye-Today Current Letter said.
According to a Turkish ministry statement, when the Russian-made SU95 aircraft touched the runway at 21.34, the pilot made an emergency call and activated fire extinguishing equipment. The plane stopped on the runway and the fire was immediately extinguished.
