The journey from Lucknow to Sitapur will now become easier than ever. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has planned to convert the Lucknow-Sitapur highway into six lanes, which will also reduce the travel time and also improve traffic. Under this project, the time taken in the journey will be reduced from about 2 hours to 1 to one and a quarter hours.
Highway widening and land acquisition
The highway will be widened to facilitate the journey between Lucknow and Sitapur. However, for this, the process of land acquisition will be initiated at some places. This may require some homes and shops to change or remove space, especially on the banks of the towns that will come under the widening of the highway. During this time, traffic jams will decrease in some places and the speed of the vehicle will also be faster.
Characteristics and benefits
-
Time savings: The widening of the highway will reduce the distance from Lucknow to Sitapur about one to one and a half hours. Thus, passengers will help reach their destination early.
-
Improvement in road quality: With the formation of a six -lane highway, despite the increase in traffic, the quality of the road will improve and the problem of jam will also be reduced.
-
Economic benefits: This project will develop in the surrounding areas and it will also increase employment opportunities.
other projects
Apart from this project, NHAI has already started work on the widening of Lucknow to Ayodhya, Barabanki to Bahraich, and Rae Bareli Road to Rae Bareli Road. Along with this, an expressway from Lucknow to Kanpur is also under construction, which will solve the problem of more traffic in the coming time.
Traveling more than 10,000 people daily
Around 10,000 people travel daily to Sitapur and Sitapur to Lucknow. These people travel by their private vehicles or public transport, and spend four hours in travel in addition to eight to ten hours of job a day. After the completion of this new project, these people will benefit greatly as they will take less time to travel.
future plan
The aim of NHAI is that by 2027 this highway becomes completely six lanes. If all work is done on time, this project will make the journey even more simple and sharp.
