Noida, 26 November (Hindustan Reporter). Tamil Thalaivas, thanks to their all-round game, have broken the two-match losing streak. Thalaivas defeated host UP Yoddhas by a margin of 40-26 in the 77th match of the 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League played under Revenge Week at Noida Indoor Stadium on Tuesday.
With this, Thalaivas also settled the account of the defeat against UP in the last match of this season.
Moin Shafaghi (8), Narendra (6), Masanamuthu (6) and Nitesh (3) contributed in defense to give Thalaivas their fifth win in 13 matches, while Gagan Gowda (8) and Ashu (High-5) contributed for UP. Only influenced. UP suffered its sixth defeat in 13 matches.
Narendra Kandola took three points in three raids but UP had to do a do or die raid in the second minute itself. Gagan came and returned with one point.

Meanwhile, Masanamutthu averted the situation by dismissing Hitesh on a do or die raid but Gagan showed the way out to Bastami on a similar raid. With the score at 9-9, Sumit dashed Masanamutthu and pushed Thalaivas towards all out.
Gagan defeated Thalaivas in the next raid and gave UP a lead of 14-9. However, Narendra reduced the gap to 3 by taking two consecutive points after the line but he was caught on the next raid.
However, Nitesh revived Narendra by catching Gagan on Do or Die Raid. UP changed sides with a lead of 17-12.
When UP took one point in five minutes after halftime, Thalaivas made the score 16-18 with four points with the help of two points each from Shafaghi and defence. After this, Masanamuthu converted the do or die raid into a super raid and took the all out to put Thalaivas ahead 21-18.
In the last five minutes, Thalaivas scored 9 points against 1.
Even after the all-out, Thalaivas continued the pressure and took four points against one to make the score 25-19. Super tackle was on for UP. UP could not take advantage of this and was all out for the second time. Thalaivas were now ahead by 30-20. After Allin, however, Gagan reduced the gap with a multi-point.
However, Thalaivas soon reduced the lead to 12. Once again the super tackle was on for UP. The UP team again could not take advantage of this and was all out for the third time.
