Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has made special arrangements to facilitate property tax payers by announcing extended working hours for its tax collection offices and cash counters. Until March 29, these counters will operate from 9 am to 9 pm. Additionally, on March 29, 30, and 31 (Gudi Padwa and last day of the financial year), the offices will remain open until midnight to give tax payers ample time to pay their property tax.
As the deadline for the financial year is March 31, the municipal corporation’s tax collection offices and counters will remain open from 9 am to 9 pm until March 29.
The tax collection department has urged citizens to clear their dues before the deadline to avoid last-minute rush.
Avinash Shinde, Assistant Commissioner, Tax Assessment and Collection Department of PCMC, highlighted that for the financial year 2024-25, the Municipal Corporation has set a target of collecting Rs. 1000 crore in property tax. For convenience, multiple payment options have been provided to taxpayers. Furthermore, the cash counter will remain open even on public holidays, ensuring uninterrupted services.
