PHOTOS: Will NCPs Merge? Ajit Pawar And Sharad Pawar’s Pune Meeting Sparks Speculation – Here’s What Supriya Sule Said |
As the statements of the Thackerays about coming together circulate on social media, speculation regarding the merger of both factions of the NCP and the possibility of a reunion between the Pawars is also making rounds online.
Amidst the discussion, Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar were spotted together for a meeting at the Sugar Commissioner’s office in Pune on Monday. They met to discuss the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the farming sector.
Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar gathered at a sugar complex in Pune on Monday to discuss the application of AI in agriculture. The focus of the meeting was on accelerating agricultural development through AI to improve harvest outcomes for farmers.
After photos of the meeting went viral, Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja questioned the recent meeting between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar. He asked, “If it is in the interest of Maharashtra, then why are they in two different camps?”
In June 2022, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar parted ways when Ajit Pawar left with 40 MLAs. Currently, the NCP is led by Ajit Pawar, while the NCP (SCP) is led by Sharad Pawar.
Additionally, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut spoke last week about the possibility of a reunion between the estranged cousins, Raj and Uddhav Thackeray, stating that no alliance had been formed yet, with only emotional talks having taken place.
Will the NCP merge?
Nationalist Congress Party (SCP) MP Supriya Sule clarified on Tuesday that the recent meeting between Sharad Pawar, who is also the NCP (SCP) chief, and his nephew, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, was a regular discussion regarding work-related matters, amidst political buzz over the possible reunion of cousins Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also clarified on Monday that some issues should be viewed beyond politics. He emphasized that with the elections now over, the public has certain expectations. “That’s why we’ve come together as a civilized Maharashtra to exchange ideas and information,” Ajit Pawar revealed during his meeting with Sharad Pawar.
When questions arose about the possibility of a reunion between the Pawar uncle and nephew after their meeting on using artificial intelligence in agriculture, Ajit Pawar put an end to the speculation. Recently, the entire Pawar family had gathered for a family event, the engagement ceremony of his son. When asked about the matter, Ajit Pawar firmly stated, “This is a family event. It’s an internal matter of the Pawar family, and there’s no need for outsiders to discuss it.”
