At the same time, the price of diesel remains ₹ 88.01 per liter, which is unchanged compared to the previous day. In the last 10 days, the price of diesel has been between ₹ 87.89 to ₹ 88.29 per liter.

How are the prices of petrol and diesel fixed?
Petrol and diesel prices in India are fixed by government oil companies, such as Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, and Bharat Petroleum. These companies change prices keeping in mind the factors like international crude oil prices, rupee-dollars exchange rate and tax. Petrol and diesel prices were last cut by ₹ 2 per liter in March 2024.
