Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated on Sunday that individuals with a tarnished public image have no place in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by him. He emphasised that anyone who engages in wrongdoing will be expelled from the party.

Speaking at the ongoing ‘NCP New Vision 2025’ camp in Shirdi, he urged the party’s leaders, officials, and workers to ensure there is no misbehavior or misconduct within the party ranks.

Ajit Pawar stated, “There are some people who are not useful to the party. Bringing them in will only invite questions from the public. This could lead to speculation that something is wrong within the NCP. Therefore, there is no reason to admit people with a bad public image into the party.”

Pawar also underscored the importance of teamwork and responsibility, particularly with upcoming elections. “The future belongs to NCP. We need to cultivate party workers at the grassroots level. All members must work in coordination for the collective development of Maharashtra,” he said. He added that following the state assembly elections, the party’s responsibilities have increased.

He urged party members to choose responsible candidates and focus on grassroots work. “Each worker should be responsible for engaging at least 25 households, and with an average of 4 votes per household, this can result in 100 votes,” he explained. Additionally, Pawar highlighted the importance of involving educated professionals, including doctors, engineers, and lawyers, in the party, ensuring the overall growth of NCP.

Pawar stated that the NCP will go with progressive ideologies from Sai Baba’s land and Ahilyabai Holkar’s birthplace.

Pawar stressed that the Ladki Bahin scheme should continue under any circumstances.

Pawar also announced the establishment of two new cells – a medical assistance cell and a promise fulfillment cell.

Understanding the party’s limitations, Praful Patel, NCP national working president, appealed to the party workers to work with dedication and patience to expand the party and build trust and faith.

On the second day of the convention, a film based on the Constitution was shown, followed by a discussion on the progressive ideology of Shiv-Shahu-Phule-Ambedkar by Lahuji Kandade. Senior leaders such as Surekhatai Thackeray, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies Dhananjay Munde, Minister of Medical Education Hasan Mushrif and senior leader Dilip Walse Patil shared their thoughts
