An outstanding 10-wicket haul from Aatish Lal ensured that his team Rizvi Springfield won their encounter by two wickets against Lakshdham High School in the Giles Shield U-14 MSSA Cricket Tournament at Central Railway, Shivaji Park on Tuesday.

Batting first, the Lakshdham unit were bundled out for just 87 in 33.2 overs. Left arm spinner Aatish stole the show with his sensational bowling. He grabbed 10/30 in 16.2 overs including three maidens to bag the Man of the Match award. Rizvi stuttered in chase with Raja Mithun taking 5/47 but they tailenders held their nerves to score 91-8 in 33.4 overs and win the match.

Opener Laxmanprasad Vishwakarma made 115 while his partner at the other end Aarav Yadav smashed a great 122 off 64 balls with 16 fours and five maximums. Vidya Vikasini just managed a paltry 54 in 18.5 overs. Medium pacer Vedan Phatak picked a five-wicket haul, (5-14) in his five overs spell.
