Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): While the Professional Examination Board (PEB) has given jobs to as many as 733 unemployed youths through three recruitment exams this year, it also organised five entrance exams for different courses.
The board was set up for holding the entrance exams for the different courses offered by various educational institutions and conducting the recruitment exams to provide jobs to the unemployed youths in the state. In September, the recruitment exams for 283 posts for grade-3 sub engineer, assistant map reader, technicians were conducted.
As per sources, their results have been declared. In the technical education department, the exams to appoint ITI training officers were conducted in October. The results of the exam have been announced. The third recruitment exam i.e. primary teacher’s eligibility test was conducted in November and the results have been handed to the school education department. Through these three recruitment exams, 733 people have secured jobs this year.
As many as 9,161 posts of primary and middle school teachers of sports and music teacher, including the subject teachers for middle school will be filled by the education department; the process of the recruitment is yet to start. The PEB had conducted the entrance exam of four different departments, which includes pre agriculture test (PAT), animal husbandry and dairy diploma test, ANM training school test, pre nursing selection test and post basic BSc nursing and MSc nursing entrance exam.
PEB exam calendar
Director of the board, Sanket Malviya told Free Press, PEB did not conduct any exam between January and March this year. From March to June because of enforcement of the election model code of conduct, the exams were postponed and when the EMCC was lifted, the board announced the exam schedule, said the officer.
Every year the PEB prepares its exam calendar and asks the departments to give their requirements or if they want to conduct any recruitment, he elaborated. “The entire work of the PEB is based on the demands raised by the different departments to fill their vacant posts, or hold entrance exams for the courses. The PEB prepares the exam calendar accordingly and conducts them,” he said.
