‘One Feels Like Committing Suicide’: Patna Man Seeks BJP MP Manoj Tiwari’s Help After Gambling Loss | (Photo Courtesy: X/@ANI)
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari took to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, March 28, to reveal that a young man from Patna sought help from him after he lost all of his money to gambling. He further added that he wants to end his life as he does not have any money to pay back the lenders.
Sharing a few screenshots from the WhatsApp chat, Tiwari revealed that ever since he publicly shared his mobile number on a podcast, a lot of people approached him with their problems, seeking his help. “Youth are getting into big trouble due to online gaming, betting etc. If you read this message carefully, you will understand a lot. I am trying to handle this youth through conversation, but I cannot reach everyone.. some solution must be found,” he added in his post.

In the WhatsApp screenshots, the man introduced himself as Ketan Anand, from Patna, Bihar. Revealing that he got Tiwari’s contact from a podcast, he went on to narrate his ordeal. “Sir, I had developed a very bad habit of gambling. Because of which, I lost a lot of money. I took loans from here and there and lost all the money in fantasy apps. Sir, the debt has increased so much that I am unable to pay it now. I have also lost my job. I don’t know what to do,” he wrote.
He added, “One feels like committing suicide, but then I think what will happen by committing suicide. After me, the loan holders will trouble my family members. Please help me Sir. Please help me Manoj Sir.
