Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Helping someone is a good deed that makes people happy and content but sometimes the act can go horribly wrong and even lead to death and injury. One such unfortunate incident occurred in the city on Saturday when a 35-year-old man who rushed to help a total stranger was electrocuted to death while another suffered serious burn injuries.

The tragic incident unfolded in the Tejaji Nagar police station area on Saturday when a house owner Sumit Nema was trying to establish a temporary electricity connection at his under-construction house on Saturday for his watchman who stays across the road.

According to investigating officer, SI AR Khan the deceased was identified as Ravi Sanwle, a resident of Limbodi. He was a labourer and was going for work. At that time, the owner of the under-construction house, Sumit Nema threw an electric wire across the road.

Unfortunately, the wire got entangled in a high-tension line. Sumit asked Ravi, who was passing through the road, to detangle the wire. As soon as Ravi touched the wire, he suffered a severe electric shock. Sumit ran to help him and he too sustained severe burn injuries while trying to free Ravi. Both were taken to the hospital, where Ravi was declared brought dead while Sumit is undergoing treatment.

The police began a probe into the case to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
