Train services on the Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway were severely disrupted on Wednesday following the derailment of a goods train at Amalner station around 2:18 PM. The incident occurred while the goods train was transitioning from the loop line to the main line toward Surat.
As a result of the derailment, several passenger trains were either cancelled, short-terminated, or diverted to alternate routes, affecting hundreds of passengers across the region
