Southpaw Parth Thakur smashed a blistering knock of 202 runs against Sacred Heart School to guide his school AM Naik School Powai to massive win by 339 runs at High Court Ground, Oval in the first round of U-14 Giles Shield MSSA Cricket tournament on Friday. Thakur faced 120 balls and hammered 27 boundaries in his unbeaten knock to help his school pile up 403/3 in 39 overs. Kabir Mogal later captured five wickets haul to bundle out Sacred heart for paltry 64 runs in 16 overs.

Parle Tilak Vidyalay ICSE right-arm fast bowler Devariya Sawant took 7/29 to skittle out JES English School Jogeshwari for 53 all out in 23.2 overs 53 all out in 23.2 overs. Parle Tilak batters led by unbeaten 35 from Adheesh Tawade chased down the target easily in 7.3 overs, losing just one wicket in the process.

The JVLR school scored 225/9 in 44 overs and then bowled out Tridha Andheri for 81 in 24 overs. Right arm medium fast bowler Vivaan Gupta took 6/18 in easy win.

Right hand opening batter Aarush Kolhe played a marvellous innings of 102 runs and off spinner Shreyansh Singh later took six wickets to help General Education Academy beat IES VN Sule Guruji Dadar by 138 runs. GE Academy made 305/5 in 45 overs on the back of Kohle’s 109-ball knock studded with 15 boundaries and two sixes.
