Mirjapur, 30 November (H.C.). Parcel booking service is going to start soon at Mirjapur railway station. The 200 -year -old brass utensil industry of the district was suffering heavy losses due to this long closed service. The merchants and Mirjapur Metal Manufacturers Association had demanded the restoration of parcel service from Union Minister of State Anupriya Patel. After this, Prayagraj division officer KG Goswami approved the resumption of this service. Now the internal and external parcel traffic from the station will be smooth again.
Brass utensils of Mirjapur, which are famous all over the country with GI tags, are sent to various states via train. After the restoration of the parcel service, the traders have breathed a sigh of relief and described it as a big step towards the expansion of the industry. After the efforts of the Ministry of Railways and the local administration, this decision is expected to provide new energy to the brass industry.
