An Assistant Professor at Goa University has been suspended on charges of leaking examination paper. He is accused that he told a woman student questions about the question paper before the examination. Taking this matter seriously, University Vice Chancellor Hiralal B.K. Menon has issued an inquiry orders.
He has constituted the Fact-Finding Committee to investigate the matter deeply and directed it to submit the report within 48 hours.
Vice Chancellor said – allegations serious, suspension will remain till the investigation is completed
On Monday, the Vice Chancellor issued an order for suspension and said,
“A teacher is seriously accused of paper leaks. Therefore, they have been suspended. Until the investigation is completed, they will not remain in their post. ”

Talking to the media, Vice Chancellor Menon also said that no formal complaint has been filed in this case so far.
They said,
“No official complaint of paper leaks has been received. One of my colleagues had only reported that someone came to his cabin and committed this action. Subsequently, Dean spoke to the accused Assistant Professor. He clarified that he had gone to get only a few chemicals and then used the students with those chemicals. ”
Assistant professor dismisses allegations
The Assistant Professor surrounded by controversies has completely rejected the allegations against himself.
He claimed that no faculty member filed any complaint against him nor found any evidence that he had stolen the question paper.
However, the matter started catching up when a complaint was lodged at a police station on Sunday.
What is the police complaint?
The complaint said that:
- The Assistant Professor entered his fellow teacher’s cabin.
- He stole the question paper of Physics from there.
- Later, she told a woman student all the questions before the examination.
However, the police have not registered any FIR in this case yet.
There was a ruckus in the university, ABVP protested
On Monday, the matter became a cause of major controversy in the university. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists protested, demanding strict action against the accused teacher.
He demanded from the university administration that:
- There should be a strict investigation against the accused teacher.
- If found guilty, they should be dismissed immediately.
- Security should be increased to prevent incidents like paper leaks.
