The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has released a list of unauthorized primary schools operating without government approval. Civic administration has urged all concerned parents not to enroll their children in these schools.
“Students currently studying in these institutions will be accommodated in nearby recognized schools. The unauthorized schools will also face penal action,” said an official.
Before the admission process and the commencement of the academic year, the corporation has officially declared the names of seven unauthorized schools within its jurisdiction. These include Marshmallows International School (Owe), Kalsekar English Medium School (Taloja Pachanand), Arqam English School (Taloja), Ocean Bright Convent School (Taloja), Oxford English Medium School (Kalamboli), Bajaj International School (Taloja), and The West Hill High International School (Taloja).
Deputy Commissioner Prasenjit Karlekar has reiterated the appeal, urging parents to avoid enrolling their children in these institutions. “If students have already taken admission, arrangements will be made to transfer them to recognized schools nearby. The authorities have also warned that if any additional unauthorized schools are found in the future, their names will be published, and strict action will be taken against them as per regulations,” said an official
