Navi Mumbai: As part of the Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan 5.0, various initiatives are being implemented by the Panvel Municipal Corporation to instill awareness about environmental conservation and protection among school and college students through practical activities. A Best Out of Waste competition was organized on March 16 at D. D. Vispute College of Education.

To help college students understand the importance of the environment, the Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Vaibhav Vidhate, has directed schools and colleges to conduct workshops, lectures, elocution competitions, poster competitions, tree plantation drives, quizzes, discussion forums, and various games. In alignment with the five key elements of the Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan—Sky, Water, Air, Land, and Fire—the Best Out of Waste competition was held at D.D. Vispute College of Education.

During the competition, students creatively crafted beautiful and durable decorative items from household waste materials.

The event was graced by the presence of Dhanraj Vispute, Chairman of Adarsh Educational Group; Anil Kokre, Head of the Municipal Health Department; and Dr. Seema Kamble, Principal of the college. Students who created the best items were honored with certificates and awards.
