Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A farmer has discovered two diamond pieces in his field in Panna district. Both diamond pieces are off-colour hence their price is not too much in the market, an official at Panna diamond office said.
The farmer has taken digging licence from Panna Diamond office. Ram Naresh Dubey is farmer of Ram Khiriya village, which is 30 km away from Panna headquarters. He had taken licence for diamond digging in his own field. He found two diamond pieces; one is of 0.94 carat and second is of 8.30 carat. This is not for the first time that diamonds have been found from the private land. Earlier also, people found diamonds in their own field.
Thief carrying reward nabbed from UP
TT Nagar police of Bhopal arrested an accused involved in vehicle theft from his native village in Uttar Pradesh. The accused was evading arrest for long and was carrying a reward of Rs 5k on his arrest, police said. As per reports, police arrested Nitendra Singh and Ajeet Singh in January for their involvement in car theft.
They informed police that one Prashant Singh Rajput was the mastermind of the theft.
A reward of Rs 5k was declared on Prashant after all efforts to arrest him failed. Another reward of Rs 1k was declared on him after it came to the fore that he was wanted in a case registered at Habibganj police station.
TI Sudhir Kumar Arjaria of Habibganj police station said a police team on Thursday traced Prashant’s location at his native village Bamori in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
Prashant was arrested and brought to Bhopal. Police officials said that he has been taken into custody in the case of theft against him at Habibganj police station.
