Palwal, 8 July (Hindustan Times). A 59-year-old man swallowed poison after being thrashed in Bata village of Palwal district. Being critical, he was taken to the hospital, where he died. The deceased also gave statements to the police before dying. On the basis of which the Chand Hut police station has started action by registering a case against two people of the village for abetment to suicide.
According to Chand Hut station in-charge Kailash Chand Bhadana, he said on Saturday that he received information that Tej Narayan, a resident of Bata village, had swallowed poison. He is admitted in a private hospital. When he went to the spot and took the victim’s statement, he told that on July 4, at around 3 pm, he was coming home from the fields. On the way, Bhajanlal and Jogindra were digging a pit with a pipeline buried in the fields.
According to the information received, Tej Narayan asked him the reason for digging the pit, then he said that he will press you in this pit. The accused started jostling with him. Was beaten up for protesting. His son Jaibharat saved him from the accused and brought him home. The accused publicly assaulted him, due to which he started feeling socially insulted. Because of this he consumed poison. When his condition worsened, his relatives took him to the hospital and got him admitted, but Tej Narayan died during treatment at the hospital. As soon as the death was reported, the police reached the spot and started action by registering a case on the basis of the complaint.
