Video: Pakistani News Anchor Breaks Down On LIVE TV, Prays For ‘Poor Souls’ Affected After India’s Operation Sindoor |

New Delhi: A viral video circulating online shows a visibly emotional woman, reportedly a Pakistani news anchor, breaking down during a live broadcast. In the video, she is seen in tears, lamenting the loss of lives in the aftermath of Indian airstrikes, part of ‘Operation Sindoor’. With a choked voice, she appeals for strength and mercy from Allah for the innocent souls affected by the attack.

However, there are no confirmed reports of the woman being associated to a news channel. FPJ also does not individually verifies the authenticity of the video. The emotional outburst is being widely interpreted as a reaction to India’s recent military action under Operation Sindoor, carried out in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians.

About ‘Operation Sindoor’

Operation Sindoor marks one of the most intense and coordinated counter-terror strikes launched by India in recent years. A joint offensive by the Army, Air Force and Navy, the operation targeted nine key terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The sites were known to be strongholds of banned terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The airstrikes, launched late at night, lasted nearly 23 minutes but inflicted significant damage. According to intelligence sources, over 80 terrorists were eliminated in the strikes, with critical infrastructure completely destroyed. Among the prime targets was Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, believed to be a major ideological and training hub of JeM, as well as Lashkar’s key facilities in Muridke and Muzaffarabad.

Satellite images and ground-level surveillance confirm that the structures were reduced to rubble, effectively neutralising the operational capability of the camps. Officials have noted that several top operatives may have been killed, although formal identification is ongoing.

PM Modi Coined Codename ‘Operation Sindoor’

The operation was not only military in nature but also deeply symbolic. Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally named it “Sindoor,” referencing the traditional red vermillion worn by Hindu married women. The name is meant to honour the memory of women widowed by the Pahalgam attack and to signal India’s resolve against terrorism that leaves families shattered.
