A special NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) court has convicted eight Pakistani nationals arrested in the case of heroin smuggling into India through the Arabian Sea in 2015 and sentenced them to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment. This case is related to the ship “Al Yasir”, which entered the Indian territorial waters from Karachi, Pakistan, which was caught by the Indian Coast Guard with 232 kg of heroin. The value of this consignment was estimated at Rs 6.93 crore.

  3. Mohammed Natho
  4. Mohammad Ahmed Inayat
  5. Mohammed Yusuf Gagwani
  6. Mohammad Yunus Sindhi
  7. Mohammad Gulhasan Sindhi
  8. Gulhasan Siddiq Sindhi

All these accused were lodged in Mumbai jail since 2015.

The then Commanding Officer of the Indian Coast Guard ship “Sangram”, which carried out this operation, presented the details of the incident in the special NDPS court.
