Pakistani actress Mahira Khan left her fans in splits after she recreated the viral ‘Chand Nawab’ video on the occasion of Eid. The actress took to social media on Saturday and mentioned how it was the perfect day to recreate the viral video.
In the video, Mahira can be seen standing at Pakistan train station and reporting like journalist Chand Nawab did on Eid in the original video. She was also seen getting annoyed as a man interrupted her reportage, just like in the original video.
“Eid aaney waali hai aur Train station pe shoot thi – Chaand Nawab toh banta hai (sic),” Mahira captioned the video.
Within no time, Mahira’s video was all over the internet, and her fans bombarded the comments section with laughs and compliments. “We didn’t know we needed this,” a user wrote, while another commented, “Chand nawab ap jaisa ho to bagairat admi banne mai kaisi sharam.”
Meanwhile, Mahira has several Pakistani films in her kitty, including Neelofar and Love Guru. The actress will also be seen in Netflix’s Pakistan-based show, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. In Neelofar and Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo she will be seen sharing screen space with Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan.
She marked her Bollywood debut in 2017 opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the film, Raees, and instantly became a hit among the masses.
However, due to tensions between India and Pakistan, artists from the neighbouring country were banned from working in Bollywood, and thus, Mahira’s Hindi film career came to an abrupt halt.
However, the ban has now been lifted, and while Fawad has already started shooting for his next Bollywood film, Mahira is yet to sign a project in B-Town.
