India Foreign Minister S.K. Pakistan has erupted due to Jaishankar’s Pakistan statement. The neighboring country has now reacted to Jaishankar’s statement of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Pakistan has described Jaishankar’s statement on PoK as baseless. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesman Shafkat Ali Khan said that instead of making a baseless claim on Kashmir, India should leave a large part of Jammu and Kashmir, which it has captured for 77 years.
Shafkat said that we reject the statement made by Jaishankar on Kashmir at Chautham House in London. He said that the issue of PoK is controversial and Jaishankar is making wrong statements about this. India has tried to change the status quo through military force, but this will not change the reality. The problems of the people of Kashmir will not be solved by using military force.
What is the whole matter?
A Pakistani journalist asked External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar a question during an event at Chautham House in London. US President Donald Trump talks about bringing peace in the world, can Narendra Modi use his friendship with US President Trump to resolve the Kashmir issue?
To this, Jaishankar replied that we have solved the Kashmir problem to a great extent. Removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was the first step in this direction. After this, the second step was to restore social justice by increasing development and economic activities in Kashmir. The third phase is voting. And now the fourth step is to bring back the part of Kashmir which Pakistan had taken away. If the part of Kashmir illegally captured by Pakistan is returned, then the Kashmir problem will be solved completely.
The Foreign Minister said that I think we are waiting for that part of Kashmir to get back. Which is in illegal Pakistani occupation. When this issue is resolved, I assure you that the Kashmir issue will also be resolved. Explaining the formula of peace in the valley, he said that the entire process of restoration of peace in Jammu and Kashmir was adopted in three phases. Apart from this, Jaishankar, while talking about the US policy, said that the US administration led by President Donald Trump is moving towards multi -polarity, which is good for India’s interests. The two countries have agreed to the need for bilateral trade agreement.
