The Government of Pakistan has spent Rs 30 crore for renovation and beautification of temples and gurdwaras in the country. He has expressed his desire to spend Rs 30 crore (one billion Pakistani rupees). For which he has also prepared a master plan. The decision was taken in a meeting of ETPB (Evacum Trust Property Board) under the leadership of Trust President Syed Ata ur Rehman on Saturday. Rahman said that temples and gurdwaras will be renovated under the master plan. Renewal work will also be done to make it beautiful. Which is one billion Pakistani rupee i.e. Rs 1.50 crore. 30 crore rupees have been allocated.
Decision taken keeping minorities in mind
Rahman said, “A huge amount is being spent on the maintenance of religious places and places of worship of minorities.” For which ETPB has received Rs 30 crore this year. The meeting was attended by members of Hindu and Sikh communities from across the country as well as government and private sector members.
Giving information about the need to amend the ETPB development scheme, Board Secretary Farid Iqbal said, ‘The scheme has been changed with the aim of increasing the income of the department. After this, now a proposal has been made to develop the assets of the trust. Allocating funds for the development of land not used for a long time will increase the revenue of the department manifold. In addition to the development and renewal works of various temples and gurdwaras in the meeting, it was also decided to appoint a project director for the administrative works of Kartarpur Corridor.
