According to the information, security forces have surrounded 2 to 3 terrorists in this area. During the search operation being run by the army, the terrorists suddenly started firing, in response to which there is a tremendous firing from the army. A large number of security forces and police personnel are present at the scene.
Army’s big search operation in Poonch
At the same time, the joint operation of the Romeo Force of the Indian Army and the Special Campaign Group (SOG) of the Indian Army in Lasana area of Poonch district continues for the 10th consecutive day. The purpose of this operation is to find out the terrorists hidden in dense forest areas. It is noteworthy that after an encounter between militants and the military in Lasana area of Poonch on April 14, there has been a continuous search operation from April 15.
According to security officials, militants attacked the Army’s Romeo Force soldiers near the national highway connecting Poonch with Jammu. Security forces have laid siege to the entire region and a thorough search operation is being carried out in all suspicious areas.
Strict monitoring on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway
Security forces have also tightened security on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway 144. Local traffic police officer Ahmed Deen said, “We are checking local vehicles and their licenses. Heavy vehicles and loaded trucks have been stopped, so that the problem of jam does not create a problem. Army, police and traffic departments are on 24 -hour alert.”
