Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khwaja threatened this during an interview to Jio News. He said that unilateral decision is a violation of the Sindh Agreement. If India does any work to stop the water of the river or change its direction, then this structure will be completely destroyed. He said that war is not fought only by guns and rifles, stopping water is also a war. People cannot live without water.
Pakistan’s attempt to put pressure on India internationally
Pakistan’s action has already suffered heavy losses. India has suspended the Indus Water Treaty. This is a major setback for Pakistan. Pakistan also fears that India is preparing for military action against Pakistan. Due to this, Pakistan is trying to pressurize India internationally. Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif interacted with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. On this occasion, he described the Indus Water Treaty as a lifeline for 25 crore Pakistanis and described the need to put pressure on India.
Earlier, Pakistani MP Bilawal Bhutto also threatened India over the Indus Water Treaty. He had said that the Indus river belongs to Pakistan, either its water flows in it or its blood flows in it.
