Kathmandu : A terrorist attack took place on Tuesday (April 22) at Pahalgam, a major tourist destination of Jammu and Kashmir. 26 people have died in this attack. Many people have been injured. This attack has shook not only India but the whole world. This attack is being condemned internationally. Our neighboring country Nepal has also expressed grief over this cowardly attack. Nepal Prime Minister Oli Sharma has expressed his feelings on the attack.

He said on the social media platform X, “We have deep condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Nepal stands firmly with India. Nepal strongly condemns any terrorist act. Also, the victims also include a Nepali citizen. We are ready to take necessary action.”

 

26 people have been killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. It also includes two foreign nationals. One of them is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and a neighboring country is a citizen of Nepal. The attack took place on Tuesday (April 22) afternoon. 5 to 6 attackers suddenly started firing on tourists. He asked people about his religion and shot him. Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF), also known as ‘The Resistance Front’, took responsibility for the attack.

Security increased on Indo-Nepal border

In view of this attack, intelligence agencies have increased security along the Indo-Nepal Sonauli border. Strict security arrangements have been made. Security guards have been ordered to investigate the identity before crossing the border to prevent the infiltration of terrorists in the region.

The Superintendent of Police of Maharajganj has told the media that security on the Indo-Nepal border has been tightened. To prevent terrorist infiltration, SSB has deployed CCTV cameras and drones on the route leading to Nepal. At present, an atmosphere of fear has spread in India due to this attack.
