After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan is very worried about India’s retaliation and is pleading to protect India from the outbreak of India. The matter also reached the United Nations Security Council. The United Nations Security Council met in a closed room late Monday night to discuss India-Pakistan tension on the basis of Pakistan’s appeal. On the other hand, the United Nations Secretary -General indirectly reprimanded Pakistan for the Pahalgam attack.

United Nations Secretary -General’s statement:

Prior to the meeting, United Nations Secretary -General Guterres strongly criticized the Pahalgam terror attack and said that its culprits should be punished. However, he advised countries to exercise restraint, saying that military action is not a solution. Guterres said that he fully understands the feelings arising out of such a terrible terrorist attack. My condolences to the victim’s family. But military conflict will have to be avoided. Because the situation can be out of control at any time.

Pakistan described Kashmir as the main issue.

It is being said that this meeting was held behind the closed door instead of the general room of the United Nations Security Council. General discussions and sessions are held in the chamber. The meeting was held at a time when United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed concern over the increasing tension between the two nuclear-skilled countries. It is known that Pakistan is currently one of the 10 temporary members of the Security Council and recommended to call such a meeting to discuss the latest situation. The meeting was called by Yunan, President of the Security Council. Pakistan’s permanent Representative of Pakistan, Aadim Iftikhar, alleged that India’s unilateral action has threatened stability in the region. Iftikhar said that Kashmir is a major issue between the two countries. Which has not been resolved for 70 years.

The meeting, held in a closed room on Monday afternoon, lasted for one and a half hours, in which the fate of Pakistan was decided. He said that in the meeting, Pakistan also discussed resolving the issue.

On the other hand, former permanent representative of India Syed Akbaruddin said that India will not allow any nefarious move of Pakistan to succeed in the United Nations.

Despite the lack of results, Pakistan’s infinite Iftikars are claiming that this meeting is organized on his request.
