A top terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) has been killed in an encounter between militants and security forces in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. Lashkar terrorist Altaf Lali has been killed by security forces.

There have been clashes in Bandipura since Friday morning. Security forces started a siege and search operation in Bandipora district after receiving information about militants in the area. He said that the search operation turned into struggle after hidden terrorists started firing on security forces.

Earlier there was news that a terrorist was injured in this encounter. During this time two security personnel were injured. It is noteworthy that this is the fourth encounter between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir after the Pahalgam terror attack. Earlier on Thursday, security forces surrounded some terrorists in Dudu Basantgarh in Udhampur. In this clash, an army constable was martyred.

Bandipura police yesterday arrested four active activists of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Police said that they had received intelligence that some workers associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba were planning to attack the police and outsiders. Based on this intelligence, Bandipora police started a search operation and laid siege to various places in the district. It is noteworthy that after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, this search operation is being carried out to arrest the terrorists.
