Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Khajrana Ganesh Temple is set to welcome a record number of devotees as it gears up for the New Year celebrations. With over 4 lakh visitors expected on Wednesday, the temple has made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth operations during this busy period.

A special Maha Aarti will take place at midnight marking the beginning of the New Year. The temple will reopen at 4:00 AM on Wednesday for devotees to start the year with blessings from Lord Ganesha. This time the New Year coincides with Wednesday, a day traditionally dedicated to Lord Ganesha, which is expected to make the crowd significantly larger than usual.

To manage the expected influx the temple management, led by collector Asheesh Singh and IMC commissioner and administrator Shivam Verma, has put in place several measures. These include enhanced parking facilities, drinking water stations and streamlined darshan arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for all visitors.

One of the temple’s key offerings is its famous laddu prasad, prepared with pure desi ghee, dry fruits and gram flour.

The demand for this prasad has been steadily increasing and it is considered a divine blessing by devotees. To meet this demand the temple has set the price of the prasad at Rs320 ensuring it remains accessible to all. Additionally, the temple is exploring the possibility of opening prasad counters at major locations like the railway station and airport.

In line with this, the temple management is also considering installing prasad ATMs, similar to those at Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple, to further streamline the distribution process. As the New Year approaches, Khajrana Ganesh Temple is fully prepared to offer a spiritually enriching experience for its devotees.
