India attacks Pakistan: The Indian Army has carried out air strikes in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor. According to preliminary information, the Army and Air Force entered Pakistan at 2:45 am and attacked terrorist bases. In which Pakistan confirmed the attack, saying, “In the Indian attack, 9 places in Kotli, Muridke and Bahawalpur were targeted.”
Its purpose is to destroy the bases of terrorist organizations.
The main objective of this operation was to destroy the locations of terrorist organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET), which have been involved in many major terrorist attacks on India in the last three decades. It was a joint campaign of the three armies.
India’s powerful forces have targeted 4 places in Pakistan and 5 places in PoK. Pakistan consists of Bahawalpur, MuridK and Sialkot. So, let’s know why this city was chosen for an airstrike.
Why was Bahawalpur chosen for an airstrike?
Bahawalpur, the 12th largest city in Pakistan, is considered to be the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed. India attacked the Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah Campus, also known as Usman-O-Ali Campus. The complex is spread over 18 acres and includes a madrasa, a gorgeous mosque, a swimming pool, a stables for horse riding and a gym for more than 600 students.
The mosque and the premises are managed by the Al-Rhoomat Trust, which is considered a mask organization of Jaish. It started with a simple structure, but by 2012 it had become a full terrorist training center.
Founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed: Masood Azhar
Born in Bahawalpur in 1968, Maulana Masood Azhar was arrested in 1994 in India. But the Indian Airlines aircraft had to be released in 1999 and the Jaish-e-Mohammed was released soon after it was released.
It is believed that Azhar also met Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan before starting his terrorist campaign. His organization is getting not only structural but also financial assistance from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.
