Operation Sindoor: Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reacted strongly after India carried out airstrikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) and Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Pakistan has officially confirmed air strikes in Muzaffarabad, Kotli and Ahmedabad east areas of Bahawalpur and India has also admitted to ‘surgical and targeted attacks’ in this regard.
The Indian Army carried out these attacks on Wednesday morning to avenge the inhuman terrorist attack in Pahalgam. 25 Indian citizens and a Nepali citizens were killed in this attack. The Ministry of Defense clarified that after this incident, India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ and carried out accurate missile attacks on nine terrorist camps.

After India’s attacks, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif wrote on Twitter, “The trusted enemy has carried out a cowardly attack at five places in Pakistan. This heinous act of aggression will be punishable. Our armed forces are responding with full force.” Sharif further said, “The whole country stands firmly behind our army. Our resolve and morale are adamant. No conspiracy of the enemy will be allowed to succeed.”
Explanation of DG ISPR and Ministry of Defense
According to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), India carried out three air strikes in Kotli and Muzaffarabad along with Subhanullah Mosque in Ahmed East area of Bahawalpur. He said that the Pakistani Air Force has also retaliated in response. He said, “Pakistan will answer this at its time and place.” The Indian Ministry of Defense said that the attacks were targeted only by targeting terrorist camps and no Pakistani military establishments were targeted. In this operation, air power was used in a planned and traded manner.
Alert in Jammu and Kashmir due to air strikes; Air service disrupted
After this action, a high alert has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir. This has directly affected air traffic and has disrupted flight services to Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Leh and Dharamshala. Indigo Airlines posted on X (East Twitter) and advised passengers to check the flight situation before the journey. SpiceJet and other airlines have also announced the closure of some airports.

After India’s military action, Pakistan has announced that it has full right to respond and rely on the decision of the armed forces. India clarified in response that it was not an attack, but a limited and strategic action, which was necessary to avenge the murder of citizens and soldiers.
