In today’s trading session, the domestic market opened with an increase. The Nifty is above 22,500 and the Sensex is at 74,072. The Sensex has strengthened 42 points, while the Nifty has increased by 8 points.
However, weakness has been seen in midcap and smallcap stocks. The BSE Midcap index is trading below 0.36 per cent, while the Nifty Midcap 100 index has fallen by 0.36 per cent. The BSE Smallcap index is trading down by 0.63 per cent.
Currently, the 30 -share BSE benchmark index Sensex is trading at 47.05 points or 0.06% above 74,076.81. While the 50 -share benchmark index of NSE is trading at 22,478.60, or 0.04 per cent to 22,478.60.
Banking, financial services, metal, PSU bank, private bank stocks are seeing a growth of 0.11–0.25 per cent. Bank Nifty is trading 0.26 per cent to 48,182.95. While auto, FMCG, IT, media, pharma, realty, healthcare, consumer durables and oil and gas stocks are trading with a decline.
ONGC, BEL, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank, Power Grid, NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance and Cipla rose by 0.37–2.59 per cent among the legendary companies. Whereas among the legendary companies, Shriram Finance, M&M, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, Adani Ports, Grasim and Hero MotoCorp fell by 0.56–1.15 per cent.
Among the midcap stocks, Star Health, Prestle Estates, MPASIS, Ipka Labs, SAIL, Ajanta Pharma, Gujarat Gas and Oil India have risen to 0.67–1.13 per cent. While Muthoot Finance, Petronon LNG, PB Fintech, Gillette India, 3M India and Kalyan Jewelers fall by 1.66-2.31 per cent.
Among the smallcap stocks, MTNL, Vindhya Teleline, Master Trust, Marathon Realty, Eiffel India and India Nippon rose to 3.83-11.77 per cent. However, in smallcap stocks, KR engine, Rail Engine, Jansol Engineering, Suratwala BG, EKI Energy and GPT Infra fell to 4.16–7.44 per cent.
