CM A Revant of Telangana Reddy said that our government is facing debt burden and financial crisis. A loan of Rs 4000 crore has been taken from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to pay salaries to the employees. Along with this, he has appealed to the employees that since paying salary is the only option, they should not demand dearness allowance (DA).
He took a ‘hand loan’ of Rs 4,000 crore and gave his salary on the first day.
On Monday, March 17, while answering a question in the State Legislative Council, he said, “The government belongs to the employees.” So I will present all the facts and figures about the financial situation before you. So that transparency remains. He further said, ‘It becomes difficult to pay salary on the first date of every month. I appeal to my government employees to serve the government by taking their salary on the first date of every month. Sometimes we have to take a loan from the Reserve Bank. I have taken a ‘hand loan’ of Rs 4,000 crore and paid my salary on the first date.
In view of the current situation, do not demand dearness allowance at the moment.
The CM further said, ‘The demand for dearness allowance of government employees is completely reasonable. But currently his government is struggling to pay salaries to employees on the first date of every month. He further said, ‘I appeal to the employees not to demand dearness allowance at this time in view of the current situation. When we fall ill, we control our food. Similarly, when the financial condition of the state is bad, employees should postpone their demands for some time.
Allegations against former CM
Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy has also accused former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of spoiling the state’s financial situation. On the other hand, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Executive Chairman and former Minister KT Rama Rao targeted CM Revan Reddy, saying, ‘The Chief Minister himself has admitted that the income of the state has come down in the last one year. This is a great insult to the state government.
Let us tell you that earlier on March 12, at an event, CM Reddy had said, “A large part of the state’s revenue is spent every month on salary, pension and re -repayment of heavy loans taken during the previous BRS government.”
