Sivakasi, Kerala: A tragic fire accident occurred at the Neerathilingam Fireworks unit in Anaiyur, Sivakasi, on Wednesday (February 19) evening, resulting in the death of an unidentified male worker.
Another worker, identified as 31-year-old P Palpandi, sustained burn injuries in the incident. Palpandi, who suffered burns covering approximately 20% of his body, has been admitted to the Government Hospital in Sivakasi for medical treatment. The Maraneri police is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
As per a report by ANI, the Fire and Rescue Services personnel rushed to the place of the accident and put out the flames.
