Applications for recruitment to 32,438 posts of RRB Group D will start from 23 January 2025. Railway Recruitment Board has released the application link at https://www.rrbapply.gov.in, where candidates can fill their application form. The last date for application is 22 February 2025, while the last date for payment of application fee is 24 February 2025. Corrections in the form can be made from 25 February to 6 March 2025. Selected candidates will get a pay scale of Rs 18,000. Before this recruitment, in 2019, there was recruitment for 1.03 lakh posts of Railway Group D, in which more than 1 crore 15 lakh applications were received.

  2. Educational Qualification:

    10th pass (or ITI) candidates can apply for these posts.

  3. Age Limit:
    • Candidates between 18 to 36 years can apply.
    • Relaxation of 3 years is given for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.
    • Age will be calculated from January 1, 2025.

    Age Limit Details:

    • General/EWS: Born after 01.01.2007 and not earlier than 02.01.1989.
    • OBC (NCL): Born after 01.01.2007 and not earlier than 02.01.1986.
    • SC/ST: Born after 01.01.2007 and not earlier than 02.01.1984.
  4. Age Relaxation:

    Due to Covid-19, the maximum age limit has been relaxed by three years, due to which the age limit has been fixed at 36 years instead of 33. This discount is for one time only.

  5. Selection Process:

    Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates successful in CBT will be called for PET. After PET there will be document verification and medical checkup.

  6. CBT Details:
    • Time: 90 minutes
    • Total Questions: 100
    • Subjects: General Science (25 questions), Mathematics (25 questions), General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 questions), General Awareness and Current Affairs (20 questions)
    • One third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  7. PET Terms:
    For Male Candidates:

    • Covering 100 meters in 2 minutes with 35 kg weight.
    • 1000 meters race has to be completed in 4 minutes 15 seconds.

    For Female Candidates:

    • Covering 100 meters in 2 minutes with 20 kg weight.
    • 1000 meters race has to be completed in 5 minutes 40 seconds.
  8. Marx Normalization:

    The process of marks normalization will be adopted in CBT. Candidates three times the total vacancies will be called for PET.

  9. Minimum passing percentage:
    • UR/EWS: 40%
    • OBC (NCL): 30%
    • SC/ST: 30%
  10. Application Fee:
    • General, OBC, EWS: Rs 500 (Refund Rs 400 if appearing in CBT)
    • SC, ST, Women candidates, Divyang: Rs 250 (Full fee refunded on appearing in CBT)
