News India Live, Digital Desk: Omar abdullah on pakistan: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah strongly condemned the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to release a loan of $ 1 billion to Pakistan. Chief Minister Abdullah alleged that Pakistan is using this financial assistance from IMF to spread violence in areas such as Poonch, Rajouri, Uri and Tangdhar in Jammu and Kashmir. Appealing to the international community, he said that providing such financial assistance to Pakistan will promote regional tension and violence, will not reduce.
Many areas of Jammu region have been affected by Pakistan in continuous shelling, so far 18 people have been killed and around 60 people have been injured. Thousands of people are being transported to safe places and relief camps from border districts including Jammu, Rajouri, Samba. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah along with Deputy Chief Minister Surendra Chaudhary and Minister Satish Sharma visited relief camps and assured the affected families of all possible help.
The tension began when 26 tourists were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in response to which India destroyed nine targets of terrorists in Pakistan and POK. After this, Pakistan fired shells along the Line of Control and International Border, affecting many areas including Poonch, Mankot, Mendhar, Naushera, Akhnoor, RSpura, Arnia, Samba and Kathua.
