Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha was at the receiving end of severe backlash after a video of her moving a model aside during her ramp walk went viral. The actress walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week on Thursday, and it was then that the incident occurred, leaving netizens disappointed.
Nushrratt turned showstopper wearing an ensemble designed by 19-year-olds Ananya Mutta and Himanshi Garg from NIF Global, Gandhinagar. In the video that has now gone viral, the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actress can be seen sashaying down the ramp in her unconventional, layered outfit, and a model seemed to be standing in her way. However, instead of making a short deviation, Nushrratt was seen holding the model from behind and moving her out of the way.
While the model smiled at her, the actress proceeded without an expression, and she then posed as the showstopper along with the designers on the ramp.
Nushrratt’s gesture did not go down well with netizens, who found it rude, and were of the opinion that the actress could have just changed her route or whispered to the model. “Faltu ka attitude hai,” a user commented under the video on Instagram, while another wrote, “We demand an apology from you to her! This was highly unethical.”
“Let us give shoutout to unknown girl guys I feel like she was rude to her and she is looking beautiful better than them (sic),” another user commented.
Nushrratt is yet to respond to the backlash.
On the work front, Nushrratt will be next seen in Chhorii 2, which is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on April 11. The film also stars Soha Ali Khan in a key role.
In the film, Nushrratt’s character must rescue her seven-year-old daughter from the hands of a superstitious cult while also fighting societal norms and horrors haunting women till date.
