Bhopal: Number Of House Breaks Increases In Zone-4, Cops On Back Foot | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Burglars and thieves gained an upper hand on police in Zone-4 which includes Kolar, Chuna Bhatti, Nishatpura, Gandhi Magar, Chhola Mandir, Bairagarh and Khajuri areas of Bhopal in 2024. Police records show that number of house breaks increased by 36 incidents till November this year in Zone-4 in comparison to last year.
The police in Zone1 and 3 performed well and brought down cases of burglaries while cops in Zone 2 struggled to keep the numbers same in comparison to last year. Records showed that cops struggled in keeping a check on burglaries in 2024.
Although the record of burglaries till November was 499 and increased by only one incident, the cases may increase at the end of the year. As per records of police, the number of house breaks in the year 2023 was 498 while till November the number of thefts in Bhopal was 499. Records of present year show that cops in Zone-1 performed well. Their efforts helped in significant decrease of incidents of house break in comparison to last year and the figure of thefts decreased by 27.
However, Zone-4 police was not so active in curbing burglaries and thefts at homes. Their negligence resulted in an increase of 36 incidents of burglaries in the zone till November, in comparison to last year. The number of thefts and incidents of house break remain the same till November in Zone-2 while it decreased by eight incidents in Zone-3.
Commissioner of Police Bhopal, Harinarayanachari Mishra said police teams were active in their areas and kept a strict watch on suspects and those involved in past incidents of thefts and similar crimes.
