Now it will be safe to take a dip in Ayodhya too! After Varanasi-Prayagraj, floating bath will be built in Saryu River

News India Live, Digital Desk: Lucknow/Ayodhya: If you do not know how to swim, but there is a desire to take a dip in holy rivers like Ganga or Saryu, then now your anxiety is going to go away. The Yogi government successfully used ‘Floating Snan Kund’ in Varanasi and Prayagraj (under the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025), and now this unique facility will also be made available to the devotees and tourists coming to Ayodhya in the Saryu River.

What is this floating bathing? Why is this special?

Think, a floating ghat or pool that is in the middle of the river, but in which the water is only up to the waist (maximum 4 feet deep)! This is the floating bathing.

  • Safe Bath: Its biggest feature is low depth, which almost ends the risk of drowning of people who do not swim.

  • Clean water: Under the tank, stainless steel has a thick mesh, due to which the water of the river comes in.

  • Easy access: Stairs are made to reach the pool easily and land it.

  • Durable and adjustable: The entire structure is made from light but strong materials such as pantoon (on which the structure floats), fiber, plastic blocks and steel frames. It remains stable in water and with the decrease in the water level of the river itself, it is adjusted up and down.

Experiment was successful in Varanasi and Prayagraj

The first floating bath in Uttar Pradesh was built on a jetty in Varanasi, whose depth was kept only 4 feet. Subsequently, during the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025, such pools were also built in places like Saraswati Ghat, Arail Ghat and Fort Ghat in Prayagraj. They also proved to be a good option for the devotees who wanted to bathe with the congestion, slightly peaceful and special arrangements (VIP treatment). Facilities like changing room were also provided with these kunds.

Now the turn of Ayodhya, modern pool will be built in Saryu

There has been a huge increase in the number of tourists and devotees after the construction of Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya. In view of this, the Yogi government is insisting on further promoting religious tourism in Ayodhya. In view of the successful experience of Varanasi and Prayagraj, it has now been decided to make a floating bath in the Saryu river.

  • Capacity and Facilities: This floating bathing in Ayodhya will be quite modern and about 300 devotees will be able to bathe together.

  • For special events: This facility will prove to be very effective in view of the huge crowd during the big religious events and fairs in Ayodhya.

  • Possible fee: It is believed that to avail this special facility, devotees may have to pay a minor fee, which will give them comfortable and safe bath experience and will make their journey memorable.

Security and other facilities:

The safety and comfort of the devotees will be taken care of. Safety barriers and railings will be installed around the floating bathing. Also, there will be changing rooms, benches for seating, solar lights for lights, support boats for any emergency and possibly small shopping around.

It is expected that the formation of this floating bathing in Ayodhya will not only facilitate devotees, but it will also create a new attraction for tourism.
