The police administration in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has increased facilities for Shiva devotees. Kashi Vishwanath Dham Road has been declared a no vehicle zone. Along with this, no entry of two-wheelers has been announced on this route. In fact, devotees had to face a lot of trouble due to the movement of two-wheelers on this route. In view of such situation, the administration has also banned riding bikes from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. This will provide convenience to the visitors.
Under the order issued by the Varanasi Police Commissioner, Kashi Vishwanath Dham Marg i.e. Godaulia to Maidagin Road has been declared a no vehicle zone forever. This ban has come into effect from today. According to the announced order, operation of all types of vehicles will be prohibited from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Arrangements for local people
People and shopkeepers living on both sides of Vishwanath Marg will be allowed to travel by bike by showing Aadhar card, pass or shop license. Police will also issue passes to people and shopkeepers living on both sides of Maidagin-Godaulia Vishwanath road. The Police Commissioner said that it will be started soon so that the people of the area do not face any problem.
What did the police commissioner say?
Police Commissioner Mohit Aggarwal has informed about Vishwanath Marg as no vehicle zone. He said that the number of devotees in Vishwanath Dham is continuously increasing. This system is being implemented for their convenience. At present this route is declared a no vehicle zone every year in the month of Sawan. Seeing the increasing number of devotees, the Police Commissioner declared this road as a permanent no vehicle zone.
The new system has been implemented by the orders of the Police Commissioner. In case of heavy crowd, the time limit of the restriction can be changed from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.
action on illegal parking
Police is also preparing to take action against illegal parking in Baba Bholena Nagar. In this regard, the Police Commissioner said that at present the police has three cranes. Another crane has been ordered. Now a special campaign has been started to tow vehicles parked at unauthorized parking lots. He also said that in coordination with VDA, such commercial establishments will be identified where parking space is used for other purposes.
The Police Commissioner has also asked PRV constables to help in traffic management. On Wednesday, the Police Commissioner inspected Kent Station, England Line, Sigra, Rath Yatra, Gurubag, Laksa, Godaulia, New Road etc. During this, DCP Kashi Zone Gaurav Banshwal, ADCP Kashi Zone Neetu were present.
Special arrangements for the needy
There will be a provision of free e-rickshaw for the disabled, elderly, sick and pregnant women on Godaulia-Maidagin Vishwanath road. For this the police will take the cooperation of the municipality. The Police Commissioner conducted a special inspection on Wednesday to improve the traffic system in the city. In view of the festival, special caution was advised.
The Police Commissioner directed to deploy additional police forces in crowded areas. To maintain orderly traffic, officials have been asked to keep the traffic flowing. The Police Commissioner said that action will be taken against the outpost in-charge and constable for encroachment and traffic disorder.
