Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Nishatpura police arrested a notorious criminal and seized stolen vehicles along with a weapon from him. The accused have cases registered against him at different police stations of the city.
The accused was dodging the cops for long as he was using multiple hideouts, police said.
The ACP, Nishatpura, Richa Jain, said police team raided a lonely spot at Housing Board Colony on Thursday night after receiving tip off that a youth was loitering in the area with a knife and was to commit some heinous offence.
Police team apprehended the suspect near Dussehra Maidan and was identified as Mohammad Fazal (920) aka Fajju of Gandhi Nagar area.
A knife and a stolen bike were seized from him. Following the interrogation, police recovered another stolen bike and e-rickshaw from the hideout of Fajju. Investigations revealed that Fajju had eight criminal cases including that of kidnapping, theft and arms act registered against him at Nishatpura, Shahjehanabad, Tila Jamalpura and Jehangirabad police station.
Fajju has made safe hideouts at Tila Jamapura, Gandhi Nagar, Nishatpura, Shahjehanabad, Chhola Mandir and Koh-e-Fiza where he used to take shelter after committing crime, ACP added.
