Mumbai: There are 17 wings in Majithianagar Society located in Kandivali west. The RCC slab of the second floor of one of these C-3 building fell on 8 April. The administration had issued a notice to completely vacate the dilapidated C-3 building in Majithianagar. However, even before notices were given, the residents were forced to vacate the building and live with relatives due to their life threatening. Meanwhile, residents living in other wings have also become concerned due to this notice.

A slab of a flat of C-3 Wing Building of Majithianagar, nearly 55 years old on SV Road in Kandivali west, fell on Tuesday. A total of five people, including three and two laborers of a Gujarati family, were injured in the accident. After the incident, 16 flat owners living in this building vacated their flats. Apart from this, gas pipelines and light connections of these 16 flats were also cut as a precaution. Then on April 9, the administrative system has been restored after the closure of the gas supply in this building.

What is written in the notice?

According to the notice issued by R-South Ward Assistant Commissioner Manish Sawale to Majithianagar Housing Society, the disaster control room received a complaint on the telephone of the disaster control room on the second floor of the C-3 building, on the second floor of the C-3 building, on the telephone of the slab fall in the house of Bharat Tanna, owner of Flat No. 12. Accordingly, the administrators and residents of the building have been ordered to vacate their houses located in the building with immediate effect. The notice informing the FFBP (WS-2) states that other buildings should be redeveloped on immediate basis. Due to the mention of this in the notice, there is an atmosphere of concern among 284 flat holders of other 17 wings of Majithianagar Society. It is also believed that if the buildings are not redeveloped before the next monsoon, the societies of Majithia Nagar may be affected.
