Mahakumbh 2025: In view of the biggest crowd of people in Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, the railway and local administration have made several new arrangements for the devotees. Despite traffic jams and other difficulties in many areas around Mahakumbh, a large number of devotees are reaching here. A large number of people who came to bathe in Mahakumbh are planning to go to Varanasi and Ayodhya. Prayagraj Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic) Shailendra Singh said, “Most of the crowds coming out of Mahakumbh Mela are going towards Kashi and Ayodhya.” According to the government, an average of 1.44 crore people are bathing daily in Mahakumbh.

1). According to an official statement, due to inconvenience to the devotees who come out of the station due to the crowd standing outside the Prayagraj railway station, Northern Railway Prayagraj Sangam station of Lucknow division on February 9 to 1:30 to February 14 on February 14. : It has been closed for the movement of passengers till 00 pm. However, regular and special trains are running from eight other stations coming in Mahakumbh region.

2). Keeping in mind the huge crowd of devotees coming in Mahakumbh 2025, North Central Railway has implemented One-way traffic system at Prayagraj Junction Station till further orders. Amit Malviya, Senior Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, said, “For the safety and convenience of passengers, admission will be given only from the city side (platform number 1) and the exit will only be from ‘Civil Lines’.”

Passengers with unreserved tickets will be allowed to enter directional shelter. The ticket system will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing. Similarly, passengers with reserved tickets will be given admission from gate number five and allowed to visit the platform half an hour before the train arrives.

3). The traffic system has completely collapsed during the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj. For the last few days, there has been a situation of severe traffic jams in the outskirts and surrounding areas of the city. As more people come, the crowd also increases and people have to face heavy difficulties. Trains are running very slowly on highways and it has become difficult for people to walk. The condition of trains coming towards Prayagraj is also very bad. People have to struggle a lot to get a place in trains.

4). Additional Prayagraj Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Kuldeep Singh said, “The previous Kumbh (2019) was not so crowded especially on normal days, but this time there is so much crowd on normal days, due to which traffic jam has been created. . ” Due to the arrival of a large number of people in Varanasi, the administration has banned four -wheelers at many places in the city. External vehicles are being stopped outside Varanasi.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kashi Zone) Gaurav Bansal said, “Four -wheel vehicles have been banned on several routes to control the crowd.” Crowded places are being monitored with CCTV and drone cameras. “The routes have been changed in many places keeping in mind the crowd of devotees,” a police officer said.

5). The impact of Mahakumbh is also seen in Pratapgarh district adjacent to Prayagraj. There is a long jam from Bhupiamau intersection of Pratapgarh to Prayagraj. Devotees returning after bathing from Prayagraj are also going to Ayodhya by this route. People sit in their vehicles for hours. There are many types of inconveniences in eating and drinking. However, the administration is trying to remove people from other routes through diversion.

 

6). There has been a huge traffic jam on the roads passing through Madhya Pradesh. Vehicles are stuck in traffic jams for hours. Special arrangements are being made by the state government to ensure that these devotees do not have any kind of inconvenience. Devotees coming from Maharashtra are passing through Jabalpur and Rewa. While the devotees coming from Chhattisgarh are going via Shahdol and Rewa.

Vehicles from other parts of the country are entering Uttar Pradesh via Chakghat in Rewa district. Thousands of vehicles are stuck on this route for hours. Special arrangements are being made by the Madhya Pradesh government and BJP organization to ensure that people traveling in these vehicles do not have any problem. State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said, ‘This route due to traffic affecting traffic from Chakghat (Rewa) to Jabalpur-Katni-Sivani district due to large number of devotees from the state and other states to join Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025. Has been blocked. ‘ Most of the vehicles are elderly, women and children.

7). Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed the officials of the district administration of all the districts of the respective areas to the officials of the urban government institutions of the area to have basic facilities like food, water, proper shelter, toilets and other civil facilities for all the affected people including devotees. Make arrangements with immediate effect.

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav criticized the Uttar Pradesh government for heavy traffic jams in Prayagraj and claimed that the devotees coming to the Mahakumbh Mela were facing a lot of inconvenience. Yadav said on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘Food grains and vegetables and vegetables are not available due to traffic jams in Prayagraj. Apart from this, there is no medicines, petrol and diesel. Due to this, the condition of millions of hungry, thirsty, tired devotees trapped on Prayagraj and Mahakumbh campus and roads leading to Prayagraj is getting worse every hour. This is a very serious situation. ‘

9). Till 9 February, more than 43.57 crore people have bathed in the Ganges and Sangam in Mahakumbh. By 10 am on February 10, more than 63 lakh devotees took bath in the Ganges and Sangam. In Prayagraj, there has been a flood of faith for the last 30 days at the holy confluence of mother Ganga, mother Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. If we assess the number of devotees who arrive daily in Mahakumbh with reverence, then on an average 1.44 crore people are earning virtue by taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam daily. There is a huge increase in the number of devotees on special festivals.

On January 29, on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the maximum 7.64 crore people took a holy dip in the Sangam. Whereas on January 28, a day earlier, more than 4.99 crore people took a holy dip. Whereas on 14 January (Makar Sankranti), 3.50 crore devotees took a holy bath.

 

10). On Monday, President Draupadi Murmu reached Prayagraj and took a dip in the holy confluence. After bathing, he worshiped and then offered a tarpan to his ancestors. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also took a holy bath with the family at Triveni Sangam on Monday and worshiped Maa Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. In Mahakumbh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (including the cabinet) have taken a dip in the Sangam.

Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shripad Naik, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy, Assam Assembly Speaker Vishwajit Daari, SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, Opposition in the state assembly Leader Mata Prasad Pandey and many VVIPs have so far taken holy dip.
