Noida Metro Extension Aqua Line: Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is planning to invest Rs 5245.95 crore to increase connectivity between Delhi and Greater Noida. This new Noida Metro Rail Extension Project has already been approved by the Uttar Pradesh government. On completion, the new metro project will not only increase connectivity but will also contribute to the development and prosperity of the region.
NMRC has planned to create two new metro corridors to increase urban dynamics and provide uninterrupted public transport facilities. These are-(A) Sector-142 to Botanical Garden, and (B) Sector-51 Station (Noida) to Knowledge Park-V (Greater Noida), which will have a total of 19 new metro stations.
Noida Metro Aqua Line Extension: Sector-142 to Botanical Garden
The Noida Metro is an important step in the development of the city’s metro infrastructure from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden, which is likely to benefit the region a lot. This new metro corridor is designed to meet the increasing demand for efficient and reliable public transport. The project will be constructed at a cost of Rs 2254.35 crore.
There will be 8 new stations in the 11.56 km long Noida Metro from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden. These are-Botanical Garden, Noida Sector-44, Noida Office, Noida Sector-97, Noida Sector-105, Noida Sector-108, Noida Sector-93 and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. This will provide uninterrupted connectivity to the Noida-Greater Delhi on the Botanical Garden Corridor from Noida Metro Sector-142 and all the passengers traveling on the contrary. Its estimated passengers in the initial phase are around 80,000. This will make the Botanical Garden Station a major interchange station with 3 stations.
Noida Metro Extension: Sector-51 to Knowledge Park-V Corridor
Noida Metro Sector-51 from Knowledge Park-V Corridor Noida, Greater Noida West and Greater Noida will provide easy traffic facilities to passengers through development route and Noida-Greater Noida Link Road. This will help in reducing traffic on these roads. There will be 11 stations in the Knowledge Park V corridor from 17.435 km long Noida Metro Sector-51. These are-Noida Sector-51 (Current), Sector 61 (Interchange with Blue Line of DMRC), Sector 70, Sector 122, Sector 123, Greater Noida Sector 4, Eco Tech-12, Greater Noida Sector 2, 3, 10 , 12 and Knowledge Park-V.
Noida Metro Line Extension Corridor from Sector 51 to Greater Noida Knowledge Park will be built at a cost of Rs 2991.60 crore. This detail will also improve access to the Aqua line and DMRC’s blue line. Noida Metro Sector 51-Greater Noida Knowledge Park v corridor from Noida, Greater Noida West area and Greater Noida region will get quick access to Noida and Delhi and direct connectivity.
