Noida Airport: Waiting a little longer, now expected to be completed by June 2025

Hey brother, there is news for the people waiting for Jewar Airport in Noida that its work is still not completed. This is the third time the date for completion of the airport has been extended. The earlier two deadlines have already come out of hand. It is now being said that perhaps it will be ready by 30 June 2025.

Manoj Kumar Singh, the chief secretary of UP, has also expressed concern about this delay. He has clearly said by holding a big meeting that the work should be completed soon. The company making airport, Tata Projects Limited, has assured the government that they are trying their best. Now the airport authorities themselves will go and see how far the work has progressed and then they will give their reports.

Efforts to speed up work, but lack of laborers

It has been heard that about 2,000 more workers are being installed at Jewar Airport to increase the speed of work. About 6,500 people were already working there. But the problem is that the harvesting season is going on, then some workers have returned to their village, which has reduced a little laborers.

Largest obstruction: Water clearing plant

In fact, the work of the plant (WTP) at the airport and the plant (STP) that treats dirty water remains the biggest challenge. Both of these have been barely 40-43% so far. According to the news, two contractors of these plants left the work in the middle, which stuck them. Now the company is looking for new contractors in a hurry so that the airport is not delayed.

The rest of the work is almost complete, but the plants stopped speed

At the meeting, officials said that most of the facilities are ready for the passengers. For example, 10 aerobridges leading to the aircraft have been installed, the baggage system to carry lifts and goods has also become fit. Large works like runways, ships standing (apron), ATC tower have also been settled.

But the real screw is stuck on the same WTP and STP. His work is almost stuck where it was a month and a half ago. Now even the officials have started thinking that if this plant is not built soon, then they will have to find another option (option) to run the airport.

Overall 90% work has been done

Officials say that 90 percent of the airport’s structural work has been completed. The runway and airside work is almost over. As mentioned, 10 aerobridges, baggage systems, lifts, signboards, etc., have all been installed. Just some finishing work remains in the international terminal, such as installing panels with clothing from outside, which are getting ready in Mumbai.

Domestic terminal almost ready, little work left in international

Noida International Airport Limited (NIL) CEO Arun Veer Singh says that the work of terminal building is going on fast. The domestic passenger portion is almost ready, while the international part has also become 75%. The roof of his upper floor is still underway.

Important investigation will be held on May 10

Now everyone’s eyes are on May 10. On this day, two big government teams who licensed the airport – DGCA and BCAS – will investigate together. This investigation is taking place after the completion of an important process. BCAS has said that if everything is well and they get answers to their questions, then they will give security green signal within 45 days.

When will the airport start? DGCA near 3 plans:

DGCA is wondering how to start the airport. They have three options:

  1. Start only cargo (cargo) from May 15.

  2. Permission to start some guilty passengers.

  3. Or, start the entire work of the first phase simultaneously.

Let’s see which side the camel sits!
