BEIJING, TAIPEI: Chinese dictator Xi Jinping issued an open threat early in the new year that no world power can stop Taiwan from annexing China.

On one hand, the recession in China is decreasing. On the other hand, America’s newly elected President Trump has announced to impose heavy duties on imports from China and has talked about imposing other trade restrictions to discourage China. At that time, Chinese leader Xi Jinping had actually challenged America and said that no power in the world can stop Taiwan from joining China. In opposition to this, Taiwan’s President Lai Ching Te has firmly said that Taiwan stands in the middle of the first line of defense of world democracies. As long as we do not bow down, we will remain free. In a televised address to the nation on Wednesday on the occasion of New Year, he said that China wants to occupy Taiwan by taking military action if necessary. On the other hand, the totalitarian powers of China, North Korea, Russia and Iran have united. They are becoming a united threat to the principled international order. Hence, the Indo-Pacific region has been seriously affected. World peace and stability is under threat. China is surrounding the island with warships to scare us. Planes will fly over us but we will not be afraid.

The bottom line is that as China has fallen into economic recession, demand for its industrial products in the country’s interior has also declined. Because per capita income has decreased. At its core, China’s overall income has declined. That means its exports have suffered a setback. Exports have declined due to global economic conditions. In less than three weeks, America’s nine-elected President Donald Trump will take over the reins of power. His anti-China policy is well known. They are certain to impose heavy tariffs (import taxes) on imports from China.

Even in his first term, he raised $380 billion into the US treasury in a single year, 2018-19, through heavy tariffs on Chinese-made goods, saying China was sucking up the US. If Trump comes to power again, he will impose heavy tariffs on Chinese goods. Most of China’s exports go to America, so China, which is currently heading towards economic decline, is likely to suffer a major blow.

Observers say that on the one hand, there has been a decline in production in China. On the other hand, unemployment has increased. On the third hand, inflation has increased. If Xi Jinping takes military action to swallow Taiwan to divert public attention from all this, then 2025 will be a dangerous year for the world. The twenty-first century will become the twelfth century for the world as the United States and its allies fight to save Taiwan as the gateway to the Pacific.
