Actress Taapsee Pannu got married to her longtime boyfriend, badminton player Mathias Boe in Udaipur on March 23, 2024, after dating for more than 10 years. However, she recently revealed that the couple had actually tied the knot in December 2023, not in 2024, surprising many with this revelation. The actress shared that there was no press release for their marriage, as it was a love marriage, not an arranged one.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, Taapsee said it will be her first wedding anniversary soon. “We had signed the papers in December last year. If I had not said this today, no one would have even known. We wanted that our personal life should remain our personal only,” she shared.

Further, Pannu shared that she has witnessed colleagues being affected by their personal lives being exposed to the public. She added, “Which is not good all the time. The credit for the highs and lows of your professional life starts getting transferred to your personal life. Whatever your personal life is, it starts getting affected.”

The actress said that she has always maintained a solid line and for her, emphasising that her personal life will remain private while her professional life is meant for the public. She revealed that she has known Mathias since 2013 and have been together since then.

“There is nothing to hide in that. But I don’t feel right in doing such PDA or announcing everything in my personal life. When my movies come out I announce them, when they are released I announce them, I did not consider it necessary to give a press release for the wedding announcement. There is no need to announce my husband,” she concluded.

The actress is yet to share official wedding photos with her husband Mathias Boe on her social media.
