The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) carried out a rapid clean-up operation following the grand Martin Garrix concert at Dr. D.Y. Patil Stadium, Nerul, collecting 4.5 tons of waste. The event, held in celebration of Holi, attracted thousands of music fans. Traffic police implemented diversions to manage congestion, while NMMC ensured efficient waste management and sanitation measures.

Under the leadership of Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, NMMC meticulously planned the collection and disposal of waste. “Similar efforts had earned national recognition during the Coldplay concert in January when an overnight clean-up prevented sanitation issues. This time, the waste collected was mostly dry, both inside and outside the stadium. Inside the venue, waste segregation was the responsibility of the event management team, which they carried out, and we collected it,” said Deputy Municipal Commissioner Dr. Ajay Gadade.
