Political parties in Bihar have set the ball rolling with the formulation of strategies to win the upcoming state elections. The opposition bloc, consisting of the RJD, Congress, and other parties, held a meeting in Delhi attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and others. During the meeting, the leaders also discussed the Mahagathbandhan’s chief ministerial face.
On the other hand, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, while speaking to the media, claimed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured that if the NDA wins the election, Nitish Kumar will once again lead the state as its Chief Minister.
When asked by reporters about rumours that the BJP would not allow Nitish Kumar to become CM again, Nishant responded, “Why wouldn’t the BJP make him CM? Amit Shah uncle recently came to Bihar and clearly said that my father will remain the CM face. Then Samrat Choudhary also stated that Nitish Kumar has been with us for the past 15 years.”
When asked about entering politics, Nishant said, “We appeal to you all to form an NDA government — a government under my father’s leadership.”
Responding to Tejashwi Yadav’s allegation that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is unwell, Nishant Kumar said, “My father is absolutely fine.”
As the NDA continues to raise the slogan that it will win 225 seats this time, Nishant Kumar said, “We appeal to the people of Bihar to help us win more seats than the NDA did in 2010.”
